First Visit

First appointment at Olympic View Dental with Dr. ChiltonWelcome to Olympic View Dental. Your first appointment will be a unique experience. We hope you will find it a special and informative appointment. Your initial appointment will consist of a one-on-one conversation about your dental needs, concerns and past experiences. It will be determined what appropriate digital low-dose radiographs will be needed; very informative digital photographs could be taken and a possible 3D image produced. A comprehensive dental and periodontal examination and a head and neck cancer screening will be completed. Finally we’ll perform an examination of your complete chewing system: muscles, movements, bite, and TMJ. All of these findings will be presented to you on large, color digital monitors in a private consultation room if needed. Here many patients review the good things and plan together with Dr. Chilton a customized plan to address those things that need to be fixed or addressed. A complete understanding of common goals, time frames, and cost would all be discussed at this time.

For your convenience we are an all-electronic and paperless office. Please assist us by providing the following information on the Patient Questionnaire prior to your first appointment. If you have dental insurance, please bring a copy of the card with you to your appointment.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.

X-Rays

If your previous dentist has taken x-rays, you may request that they be emailed to our office at carrie@olympicviewdental.com. Please pick them up and bring to your appointment with us. If additional films are necessary, they will be taken at our office.
